East City Giants vietti aktiivisen viikon, kun joukkueella oli k\u00e4yt\u00e4nn\u00f6ss\u00e4 3 harjoituspeli\u00e4 viikon aikana. Ensin tiistaina joukkue pelasi farmijoukkuettansa TAFTia vastaan, sitten torstaina hallitsevaa Suomen mestaria Roostersia vastaan ja lopuksi viel\u00e4 sunnuntaina Vaahteraliigan Tampere Saintsia vastaan. Viikko oli joukkueelle luonnollisesti fyysisesti \"\"<\/a>kova ja raskas, mutta antoi my\u00f6s eritt\u00e4in paljon. T\u00e4ss\u00e4 vaiheessa vuotta n\u00e4m\u00e4 pelit antoivat hyv\u00e4\u00e4 kuvaa joukkueelle ja t\u00e4rkeit\u00e4 kehityksen osia l\u00f6ytyi, joita joukkue nyt l\u00e4htee parantamaan.<\/p>\n

P\u00e4\u00e4valmentaja – pelinrakentaja Jabari Harris kommentoi mennytt\u00e4 viikkoa:<\/p>\n

”Last week, was a very productive week for us. We had a warm up scrimmage with Taft and we were able to began to install things for the scrimmage with Roosters. Against Roosters, we were able to get a great feel of Maple league, speed, talent, and physicality. We made a few plays, but most importantly was able to learn from them and clean up a few mistakes.<\/p>\n

Going into camp with Tampere, we had made great adjustments, defensively that allowed us to play confident and communicate better. Offensively, we picked up our tempo and executed some things much better compared to the practice with Roosters. Overall the players gained an understanding of what it means to play at a high level, and now know what they must do individually to get to that level. From a coaching stand point, we were able to see exactly where our strengths and weaknesses are early in the year and began to fix them immediately. After scouting the teams in the division and already knowing our flaws, we can recruit accordingly and be better prepared. That\u2019s something we didn\u2019t do well last season. Overall, a great week for the Giants.”<\/p>\n
